Message from the Athletic Director
Athletics at Perkiomen School are an integral aspect of the student experience. As part of our co-curricular education, engaging and participating in athletics provides opportunities for students to grow their leadership potential, build communication skills, and learn to collaborate. With more than 40 teams at the middle school, JV, Varsity, and Prep/National levels, we offer numerous opportunities for athletes of all ability levels.
The Varsity and Prep athletic programs provide our students with an opportunity to compete at the highest levels of independent school athletics. Our opponents include members of the Mid-Atlantic Prep League, Friends League, InterAC, and depending on the program, prep schools and independent schools from around the country. Many of our athletic programs also compete in the Penn-Jersey league with independent schools from around the greater Philadelphia area. Perkiomen is also a member of the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association.
We are committed to providing an athletic environment that emphasizes hard work and character development, promotes teamwork and sportsmanship, and allows our students to risk becoming their best.
We invite you to learn more about Panther Athletics and share in our Perk Pride. Athletic-related questions or inquiries can be sent to the Office of Athletics, via email, linked below the photos.
All students are required to participate in an after-school activity each trimester. Students are required to participate, as a team player, in at least one interscholastic team sport, or one of the other physically active programs, each school year.
Students who are actively engaged at a high level in an athletic activity that Perkiomen does not offer but that is comparable to the expectations and time commitment required of all students may petition the Athletic Department for an exemption to Perkiomen’s school-offered activity requirement.
The activity exemption form must be submitted to the Director of Athletics at least two weeks prior to the start of the athletic season.
