Varsity Boys Soccer

Richard Punt comes to Perkiomen from Immaculata University, where he had been the Head Coach since 2020. Punt and his staff were voted The Atlantic East Conference Staff of the Year in 2024. Punt led the team to the playoffs in each of his 4 seasons, qualifying for two semi-finals and two quarter-finals in that time. He has coached nine All-Conference First Team Athletes, and Eight All-Conference 2nd Team athletes. As well as this, one of his athletes was voted to The Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors Association Academic All-Area Team in both 2023 and 2024. Punt has been a member of the NCAA Regional Advisory Committee between 2022-2024 as well as the Men's Soccer Chair for the Atlantic East Conference in 2024. Between 2018-2019, Punt was an Assistant Coach and Lead Recruitment Coordinator at Immaculata, helping the team win its first championship in program history.

From 2019-2021 Punt coached the U15 and U17 ECNL Teams at Penn Fusion Soccer Academy, qualifying for Regional Playoffs with all teams during that timeframe, In 2022 he led the U19 ECNL-RL team to a league title, as well as being National Semi-Finalists in the same season. Punt will be continuing to coach at Penn Fusion, within the ECNL pathway.

Originally from Worcester, Punt worked in the academy at West Broomwich Albion Football Club as well as working for Arsenal in their community coaching schemes. He played for Pontypridd United, Treforest FC, and Ledbury Town FC.

Eric Frey graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in Mathematics. He also holds and Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University. Eric Frey has been coaching soccer of all ages for many years and has also coached basketball, lacrosse, and softball.

Coach Frey is very excited for the upcoming year and cannot wait to see what these young men can accomplish.
