Assistant Coach
Madison Glinski is an alumnus of Perkiomen and graduated in 2015.She is one of our Science Teachers here at Perkiomen. She is also one of our coaches for the girls and boys Tennis teams.
Coach Glinski is joining us from her previous work with the Army as well as working as a Molecular Biologist. She is a graduate from Misericordia University with her B.S. in Biology. During her time as a Perkiomen Panther, Coach Glinski played Varsity Tennis all four years.
Coach Glinski had this to say about returning to Perkiomen:
“I am looking forward to my first season as a coach. It is exciting to be on the other side of things and getting to see what these athletes can do.”

The match was difficult due to the blistering winds and threatening rain but the boys showed sportsmanship when they found the other team was brand new to tennis. They showed great patience and rallied to keep everyone's spirits high and get a good game of tennis in.
The singles matches were played best of 3 sets where the doubles matches were played first to 8 games win by two.
1 singles: Arun won 0-2 (1-6, 0-6)
2 singles: Joey won 0-2 (0-6, 0-6)
3 singles: Noah won 0-2 (0-6, 0-6)
1 Doubles: Zack/Brandon won 0-1 (0-8)
2 Doubles: Liam/Michael won 0-1 (0-8)

The boys had a good match. Despite harsh winds they all played hard and won their sets 2-0 each.
1 singles Joey 2-0. He had a good match and by the second set was able to find a solid strategy to fight back and overcome his opponent.
2 singles: Noah 2-0. Noah had a great match. Though he struggled with the wind he was able to win with well placed shots being sharp on the angles.
3 singles: Brandon 2-0 easily pushed is opponent up and down the court with lobs. They had good rallies.
1 Doubles: Zack and Manuel 2-0 teamed up together and had a great match. They were quick with rapid rallies at the net. They worked well together to win the match.
2 doubles: Ryan and Julius 2-0 teamed up for the first time today. Both had strong net play and were able to win several shots due to their quick reactions.

Matches were player best to 8 win by 2. The weather was beautiful and both teams played with great sportsmanship. There was great teamwork throughout the whole match.
1 Singles: Arun 8-0
2 Singles: Noah 8-0. Noah was one of the most inspiring players on the court this last match. He took his time with his opponent and encouraged him on shots well placed. After the set he talked to his opponent and helped him improve his tennis by giving great advice and support. He showed true sportsmanship.
3 Singles: Brandon 8-3. Brandon had a tough but great match. Him and his opponent had different playing styles that clashed together on the court. It was great to watch him adapt and overcome throughout the match. It was a great game to watch!
1 Doubles: Zack and Liam (8-3)
2 Doubles: Manuel and Julius (8-0)

Each match was an 8 game pro set with first to 8 win by 2.
1 Singles: Arun (8-0) won a hard fought match!
2 Singles: Brandon (8-5) first time playing second singles and he did great. Good movement on the court and kept his head in the game!
3 Singles: Zack (8-3) first time playing singles and he did a great job. Made great adjustments to his opponents play style and pulled out some wicked serves.
1 Doubles: Liam and Manuel (7-8, tie breaker 5-10) they had a hard fought match that resulted in a ten point tie breaker. Unfortunately the tie breaker had some trouble at the end. Overall they did well and worked to adapt their teamwork and communication on the court.
2 Doubles: Julius and Tillman (8-0) their first time playing together and they make a wonderful team! Julius and Tillman had great communication and their poaching skills are unmatched.
