Co-Head Coach
Jacob Wells is a History Teacher here at Perkiomen and will be the Head Cross Country and Track and Field coach.
Coach Wells comes to Perkiomen from Scottsdale Arizona where he taught and coached at BASIS Scottsdale for 6 years. He was the founder of the cross country team at the school and coached cross country and track a total of 4 years. He was named Track and Field Coach of the Year in 2019 for both Mens and Women’s and in 2021 for the Women’s team. Coach Wells is a graduate of the University of Alabama where he earned his B.A. in History. He also earned his M.A in History from Washington State University and is currently a candidate for his PhD in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. In college, Coach Wells ran cross country as well as played volleyball.
Coach Wells shares what he is excited about for the season:
“I am looking forward to bringing my coaching experience to a school with a rich history of athletics and cannot wait to build the running programs at Perkiomen”

Co-Head Coach
Casey Perlstein is a teacher at Perkiomen and serves as our Head Football Coach as well as a Coach for Track and Field.
Coach Perlstein enters his fourth year as a coach here at Perkiomen and joined us after a three year stay at Upper Perkiomen High School as an Offensive Coordinator for their football team. He is a graduate of Kutztown University (’16) with a degree in Physics. He was a member of the football team at Kutztown for three years.
Coach Perlstein shares his excitement for this season:
“I am very excited to get back to playing games this fall after missing the 2020 season. We have a great group of juniors and seniors that could take us far this year.”

Assistant Coach
Erin Davidson Kellogg works at Perkiomen as the Associate Director of College Counseling as well as the Director of Testing. She is the Varsity Swimming Coach as well as an Assistant Varsity Outdoor Track and Field Coach.
Coach Davidson Kellogg enters her 15th year as a Varsity Swimming Coach and her 8th year as a Track and Field Coach here at Perkiomen. She has coached many Perk alumnus to college success in Swimming ( American University, University of Rochester, Cedar Crest College) and Track and Field (New York University, Harcum College). She has previous coaching experience ranging from dance, middle school field hockey, cheerleading, and middle school girls lacrosse. She is an American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard Instructor and has been a Certified Lifeguard for over 20 years. She is a graduate of Denison University (’07) with a B.A. in Mathematics and Dance as well as Drexel University (’12) with a M.S. in Mathematics Learning and Teaching. During her time in college, she was a member of the Cross Country and Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field teams. She ran the 400m in Indoor and the 400m Hurdles in Outdoor. She qualified for the finals in 400m Hurdles every year she was member of the team. She was also apart of the NCAC Championship teams for Denison University in XC (’03, ’04, ’05), Indoor (’04), and Outdoor (’04). Coach Davidson Kellogg also won the Distinguished Leadership Award in 2007.
Coach Davidson Kellogg shares her thoughts on the upcoming season:
“With the swim team being a young team, I am looking towards many records (school, pool, or personal) being broken this season after not being able to compete last year. For track, I am looking forward to growing our program and helping our athletes break their own personal records.”

Assistant Coach
Kieran Trainer is an English and History Teacher here at Perkiomen. He will be joining us as a Football Coach as well as a Track and Field Coach this year.
Coach Trainer joins us with an extensive background in teaching, his most recent school being Sacred Heart where he worked from 2019. Other schools include Simon Gratz (2018-2019) and La Salle College High School (2015-2018). He also joins us with a background in coaching. He was the Football Defensive Line Coach at La Salle from 2015-2018 and Simon Gratz from 2018-2019. He also has coached Wrestling. He is a graduate of Loyal University Maryland (’15) where he majored in History with a minor in Secondary Education.
