Head Coach
Kendall Baker is Director of Athletics and Head Baseball Coach at Perkiomen.
He completed his undergraduate work at Springfield College and his graduate work at the University of Wyoming. He has been at Perkiomen, serving as athletic director since 1976 and has been coaching baseball for the past 35 years; the last 33 years as head coach.
Coach Baker has guided the Perkiomen Panthers to 26 consecutive league championships. Baker took over the baseball program in 1990 and in March 2021 celebrated his 500th win. In 2003, he celebrated his 200th career win with a 23-0 undefeated season. In 2005, he celebrated 250 wins. Coach Baker has been sought out for his expertise, coaching a The Freeport Anglican Baseball Camp (Freeport, Grand Bahama) in 1995. He also coached the Roberto Clemente All-Stars in Puerto Rico during the summers of 1996 and 1997. -
Assistant CoachMike Romasco is the Director of Learning at Perkiomen School. This is his
15th year with the varsity baseball team.
Coach Romasco graduated from Temple University and received his Master's at DeSales University. He was a 4-year baseball player at Perkiomen Valley High School. Mike coached the middle school baseball team at Pottstown Middle School, and has coached in the Upper Perkiomen Junior Legion program. -
Assistant CoachBobby Saeger celebrates his 7th season with the Varsity Baseball Team.
Coach Saeger graduated with a BS in Health Education from West Chester University and played baseball there for four years. He played with the Allentown Ambassadors, coached with the Kennett Square American Legion team, managed the Upper Perkiomen Kiwanis Junior Legion team, and spent 11 years on the Ursinus College baseball staff. -
Assistant Coach
Scott Robinson is the Science Department Head at Perkiomen. He has been involved with Perkiomen baseball since the 2006-07 school year as the JV Head Coach as well as an Assistant Varsity Coach.
At Perkiomen, Coach Robinson has held various coaching roles over the years. He has been involved with JV Golf, Middle School Girls Basketball, and was the Assistant Varsity Basketball coach.
He is a graduate from Western Maryland College (’98) with a B.A. in biochemistry as well as an M.A. in analytical chemistry from the University of Delaware (’00).
Coach Robinson shares: “We graduated several experienced players this past spring, but we have a talented core of young returning players and some new faces who we expect to help the program right away. It will be exciting to see how the team comes together this season.” -
Assistant Coach
Nick Koffel teaches Mathematics at Perkiomen. This is his fourth year as the head coach of the boys Varsity Soccer Team and as an Assistant Coach for Baseball.
In his first-year coaching for Perkiomen, the team was able to qualify for the PA Independent Schools state tournament. Before Perkiomen, Coach Koffel taught at West Mont Christian Academy as well as coached soccer and baseball at the varsity level. He has also coached travel baseball for three years.
He is a graduate of Centenary College (’16) where he studied education and earned a degree in mathematics. Coach Koffel was also a very accomplished baseball player at Centenary. He played all three outfield positions and hit lead off for all four years. He garnered second team all-league honors his senior year and found himself in the Centenary record book a total of six times.
Coach Koffel shares: “I am looking forward to getting back out on the field and bringing home another championship.”

Perkiomen defeated New Foundations Charter School 15-0 behind a strong starting pitching performance from Calvin Dymond. Dymond threw three innings, striking out seven and surrendering only one hit. CC Catania, Ryan Stubblefield, and Henry Clausell had two hits each. Gavin Feulner, Erick Diaz, Carlos Quinones, Isaac Pena, TJ Khela, Shane Baird, and Toren Choudri also contributed hits to the attack. Robbie Frankenfield threw one inning of no-hit relief in the contest with one strikeout.
The Panthers defeated George School 12-2 behind a strong pitching performance from starter Juan Sanchez, who struck out 7 in 3 no-hit innings for his first Perkiomen win. CC Catania, Zach Mayza, and Isaac Pena had two hits each. Erick Diaz, Henry Clausell, Cesar Lopez, and Gavin Feulner also contributed hits.
Perkiomen defeated Community Academy of Philadelphia 16-0, sparked by a combined three innings of perfect, no-hit pitching from starter Nate Romberger and reliever Ryan Sink. The two struck out all nine batters they faced in the contest. They were supported by an explosive offense led by Henry Clausell’s two home runs in the bottom of the first inning. CC Catania, Ryan Stubblefield, Zach Mayza, Calvin Dymond, Carlos Quinones, Isaac Pena, and Avery Smith Also recorded hits in the game.
Perkiomen bested Episcopal Academy 2-1 in a tight game that was well-played by both teams. Winning pitcher Shane Baird gave up a solo home run in the top of the first inning but then settled down to pitch five innings, giving up only one more hit while striking out five and walking none. Toren Choudri pitched two strong innings in relief to record the save, giving up one hit with one strikeout and no walks. The Panthers did all of their damage in the bottom of the fourth inning. Erick Diaz led off with a double to the left field gap. He scored two batters later on an RBI single from Carlos Quinones. Quinones was replaced on the bases by courtesy runner Isaac Pena, who advanced to second and third on wild pitches. TJ Khela reached first base on a walk with two outs in the inning to set up the winning run. Khela left first base early, attracting the attention of the pitcher and allowing Pena to break for the plate. Pena and Khela advanced successfully on the play, and Perkiomen held on for the victory on the strength of strong pitching and defense. CC Catania, Ryan Stubblefield, and Henry Clausell also recorded hits in the contest.
Starter Calvin Dymond and reliever Erick Diaz combined on a five-inning no-hitter to defeat Barrack Hebrew Academy 11-1. Hits were recorded by CC Catania, Gavin Feulner (2), Erick Diaz, Henry Clausell, Cesar Lopez, TJ Khela, Nate Romberger (2), and Juan Sanchez. Diaz ended the game with a two-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Gavin Feulner threw two no-hit innings, striking out five batters and walking none to record his first win as the Panthers defeated Cristo Rey 18-0.
Perkiomen held off Friends Central 3-2 in a hard-fought contest. On the hill, Shane Baird surrendered zero runs and only two hits in five innings of work, earning the win. Erick Diaz closed out the game with the bases loaded in the seventh inning to record the save. Offensively, Calvin Dymond and CC Catania powered the attack with five combined hits. Dymond blasted a leadoff, solo home run to right field in the top of the third inning. He also had an RBI single in the fifth to score Cesar Lopez from second base. Catania tallied three singles on the day.
The Panthers jumped out to an early lead in the first inning when Henry Clausell blasted a home run to left field, scoring CC Catania and Ryan Stubblefield. Juan Sanchez secured the lead with six strong innings on the mound. Sanchez gave up zero runs while striking out ten and only walking one. Nate Romberger completed the game with one inning of scoreless relief. Clausell led the hitting attack with two hits and three RBIs. Isaac Pena contributed one double. Stubblefield, Carlos Quinones, and Calvin Dymond recorded singles. Dymond, TJ Khela, and Shane Baird drove in one run apiece.
Gavin Feulner, Ryan Stubblefield, and Ryan Sink combined on a six-inning no-hitter to defeat Barrack Hebrew Academy 12-0. The Panthers scored all of their twelve runs in the bottom of the first inning. Erick Diaz hit a three-run home run to right field and recorded three RBI on the day. Henry Clausell knocked in two runs, and Calvin Dymond, Avery Smith, and Isaac Pena drove in one run apiece. Pena had two hits, including a double. Smith and CC Catania also earned doubles in the game.
Starter Henry Clausell pitched five strong innings to set the tone and earn the win on the mound as the Panthers defeated Shipley 7-3. Erick Diaz led the offensive attack by going 3 for 4 with two home runs and three runs batted in. CC Catania and Cesar Lopez both went 2 for 3 on the day. Toren Choudri pitched two innings in relief to seal the victory.
Perkiomen overcame an early 3-0 deficit to defeat Citius Prep (NY). Henry Clausell broke open a 3-3 tie with a two-run home run in the fifth inning. Shane Baird earned the complete-game win, spreading seven hits over seven innings while striking out ten batters and only surrendering one walk. Clausell and TJ Khela hit doubles in the contest, and Ryan Stubblefield recorded a triple. CC Catania and Erick Diaz also had hits for the Panthers and knocked in one run and two runs, respectively.
The Panthers out-hit Citius Prep but lost 1-3 in Game 2 of the doubleheader. Juan Sanchez pitched six strong innings but earned the loss, giving up only one earned run on three hits. Henry Clausell hit a home run, and Avery Smith and Carlos Quinones added doubles. Erick Diaz and Nate Romberger also recorded hits.
Ryan Sink threw three shutout innings with six strikeouts to lead the Panthers to a victory over Cristo Rey Philadelphia in the Penn-Jersey League quarterfinals. Sink, Erick Diaz, Tommy Seager, Henry Clausell, and Carlos Quinones all hit doubles and drove in runs to power the offense. Nate Romberger, Isaac Pena, Calvin Dymond, Gavin Feulner, Avery Smith, and Zach Mayza also recorded RBIs.
Gavin Feulner threw a shutout to lead Perkiomen to victory against New Foundations Charter School in the Penn-Jersey League semifinal game. He threw five innings of one-hit ball, striking out three with no walks. Ryan Stubblefield led all batters with three hits, including two doubles and two RBIs. CC Catania and Avery Smith each had two singles. Smith also racked up three RBIs in the contest. Carlos Quinones added a double, and Erick Diaz, Carlos Lopez, TJ Khela, and Feulner all recorded singles.
Perkiomen defeated Hill School 9-3 on the strength of an offensive outburst in innings two through four. CC Catania, Henry Clausell, Cesar Lopez, and TJ Khela had multi-hit games for the Panthers. Carlos Quinones, Erick Diaz, and Ben Seifert also tallied hits. Shane Baird started on the mound and was relieved by Toren Choudri. Both pitched three innings and gave up zero earned runs. Choudri was credited with the win in relief. Nate Romberger pitched the seventh inning to close out the game.
