“With the swim team being a young team, I am looking towards many records (school, pool, or personal) being broken this season after not being able to compete last year. For track, I am looking forward to growing our program and helping our athletes break their own personal records.”

Past Seasons
This was the first meet for our boys' team in over a year. It was amazing to see them racing again at Perkiomen! We had first-place finishes in our 200 Medley Relay (Zach Glavin, Manuel Barragan Garcia, Robert (Tommy) Saeger, and Shane Baird), 200 Individual Medley (Tommy Saeger), and 100 Butterfly (Tommy Saeger). The medley relay was extremely close to breaking our pool record. They will attempt to break it in our future meets! Come and support them at our next meet.
This meet against Abington Friends School gave our boys the opportunity to try some new races since there were low numbers on their team. Many boys performed their personal bests including Yuntong (Tony) Peng in the 100 Breaststroke, Robert (Tommy) Saeger in the 100 Fly, Guillermo Heras Gomez in the 100 Backstroke and others had some amazing relay splits. The boys were close again to breaking the pool record in the 200 Medley Relay and will get their next opportunity in January. We are proud of the boys' perseverance and the diligent efforts of the whole team paying off with some amazing times. Great job to everyone!
It was great to see the boys back in the water for this close meet against Hun School. We had some great races and first-place performances by many swimmers. These include Tommy Seager in the 100 Butterfly, Shane Baird in the 100 Free and 100 Breaststroke, Zach Glavin in the 100 Backstroke, and the 200 Free Relay with Carlos Quinones, Shane Baird, Tommy Seager, and new-comer Jon-Luke Duley. Great job! Our next meet is home on Tuesday, January 19th against J. M. Barrack Hebrew Academy. You can watch this meet on live stream!
After the first day of competing at Easterns, the boys' team scored 38 points putting them in 18th place overall. Their 200 medley relay dropped over 3 seconds and broke the school record. They also dropped almost 4.5 seconds in their 200 free relay and missed the record by less than a second. For both of these amazing improvements, the boys qualified for finals Friday evening. They placed 18th and 15th respectively. Both of these relays earned a total of 38 points for the team. Robert (Tommy) Saeger missed finals in 100 fly by 0.3 seconds.
Here is a list of all of their swimming events and results from Friday:
200 Medley Relay: 1:45.48-17th (Zachary Glavin, Shane Baird, Robert (Tommy) Saeger, and Jon-Luke Duley)
200 IM: 2:09.88-44th (Robert (Tommy) Saeger)
50 Free: 24.83-84th (Jon-Luke Duley); 24.05-70th (Shane Baird); and 23.70-64th (Zachary Glavin)
100 Fly: 55.40-26th (Robert (Tommy) Saeger
200 Free Relay: 1:34.48-15th (Zachary Glavin, Jon-Luke Duley, Shane Baird, and Robert (Tommy) Saeger)
On Saturday, we had two boy swimmers compete in individual events:
Zachary Glavin finished 35th in 100 back dropping almost 4.5 seconds to earn his personal best time of 58.05. His goal was to go under a minute and he crushed it!
Shane Baird finished 52nd in 100 Breast dropping almost 3 seconds for a time of 1:08.23, which is his personal best, and met his goal for the day too!
After both days of competing, the boys' team placed 21st tying Pennington School and finishing ahead of Hun School of Princeton. It was great to be in this position since we didn't have a team in the 400 free relay on Saturday. We loved it also because we lost to both of these teams earlier in the season!! Way to go, boys!

American University“Perkiomen allowed me to excel both in and out of the pool. Along with the training and practices that developed my strength and speed in the water and on land, the coaching staff, teachers, and administraton provided me with support and encouragement that bolstered my confidence. I can’t thank Perkiomen enough for helping me further my swimming career and equipping me with the tools to become a D1 athlete."
